We have been using in production a like for like bridge from another supplier at a stupidly high price. £1.17 for 100 off . So was very pleased to drop on this from Rapid at a 50% saving. Result lol.

Having bought my first decent, bigish amp 12v battery charger 18 months ago I was dismayed when it conked out after probably the fourth use, especially as it was relatively expensive, but not expensive enough to justify getting someone else to repair it. However having read RN Boulton's review above, and taking some advice from youtube on testing the bridge rectifier, I spent £1.06 on this and bingo, it works perfectly! What could be simpler, thank you. In hindsight I think the first one wasn't screwed firmly enough to the heat sink, which is probably what killed it.

I have a miniature ride on railway with electrically powered locomotives using on board car batteries which I re-charge after a run. Lately a battery charge ammeter failed to show any charging current and I diagnosed a failed bridge rectifier. (The expensive pert of any charger is the copper wound transformer.) Ordered a spare bridge rectifier, promptly delivered at a reasonable price. Fitted in minutes by plugging in. Tested and found 'S' Very happy customer
