Wired it up for an Arduino project and programmed in less than half an hour. The start up routine in the datasheet was invaluable and on the whole, the product is a good buy. The address seems a little quirky though: characters 1-8 are at address 0x00 - 0x07, while chars 9-16 are at 0x40 - 0x47, adding to program complexity. Also note that for displays with backlights, pin 15 is LED supply and pin 16 is ground; the datasheet is only applicable for the reflective display in that respect. Easy to solder, easy to use.
