A power supply is the one instrument nobody thinks about, until it lies to you. A rail that sags under load or a current reading that's out by a few milliamps can send a whole debugging session in the wrong direction. That's why Rohde & Schwarz, founded in Munich in 1933 by Lothar Rohde and Hermann Schwarz, treats the unsung hero of the bench with the same care as its high-end analysers.
The NGE100B is an everyday programmable bench power supply, with two or three 32V, 3A channels and USB as standard. Every channel is galvanically isolated and earth-free, making it a true isolated power supply: a +12V/−12V rail is a couple of leads away. Need more current? The NGC100 is a multi-channel power supply that delivers 100W from one, two or three isolated outputs, with up to 10A from the single-channel NGC101. When accuracy matters most, the NGA100 uses linear regulation, reaches 100V and reads current down to 1µA below 200mA, so you can check a sleep current without reaching for a separate meter. Testing how a supply copes at full load? Pair it with one of our electronic loads.
Measuring what the supply is doing is just as important. The UDS600 is a 6.5-digit multimeter and the UDS500 offers 5½ digits. Both bench multimeters have a triple display that shows voltage, current and a calculated value such as power at the same time. Characterising a product's power draw? The NPA101 power analyser covers 50µW to 12kW from DC to 100kHz, whether that's standby current or full load.
For the waveforms themselves, the RTB2000 is a 10-bit oscilloscope with a 10.1" touchscreen. Its higher resolution keeps small details visible next to large signals. Protocol decoding options cover I2C, SPI, UART and CAN, and a three-year warranty comes as standard. The two-channel RTC1002 is a capable entry point for teaching labs. Need to take the scope to the machine? The RTH handheld oscilloscope has isolated CAT IV 600V inputs, an IP51 housing and more than four hours on battery, with a multimeter and data logger built in. For longer recording runs, see our data acquisition and logging range.

Rohde & Schwarz FAQs
Which Rohde & Schwarz programmable bench power supply should I choose?
For general bench work, the NGE100B gives you two or three isolated 32V, 3A channels with USB control. Choose the NGC100 multi-channel power supply if you need more current per channel, up to 10A at 100W. The NGA100 is the precision option: its linear regulation, outputs up to 100V and microamp current readback suit low-power and sensitive circuits.
Is a Rohde & Schwarz power supply an isolated power supply?
Yes, on the NGE100B and NGC100 series every channel is galvanically isolated and floating. You can wire channels in series or parallel for more voltage or current, or build a bipolar supply such as ±12V without an external reference.
Can Rohde & Schwarz instruments be controlled remotely?
Yes. The NGE100B has USB as standard, with LAN as an option. The UDS bench multimeters have USB and LAN and accept SCPI commands, with GPIB as an option. The RTB2000 oscilloscopes have LAN and USB. That makes the range easy to build into automated test systems, and 19" rack adapters are available for the HMP and HMC series.
Which Rohde & Schwarz oscilloscope is right for me?
The RTC1002 is a two-channel entry model suited to teaching and basic debugging. The RTB2000 is a 10-bit oscilloscope covering 70–300MHz, with a large touchscreen and two- or four-channel versions. For field service or high-voltage work, the RTH handheld oscilloscope adds isolated CAT-rated inputs and battery power.
