The enclosure is often the last thing a design settles and the first thing a user judges — the product's face and its protection in one. Choosing well means matching material, mounting and sealing to where it will live. The range spans ABS and polycarbonate boxes, steel and metal cases, general-purpose, DIN-mount, wall-mount and 19-inch rack enclosures, and instrument and handheld cases. Specifying an enclosure

How do I choose the right enclosure?

Work from where it lives. For outdoor, wet or washdown environments, choose a sealed enclosure with a high IP rating; for impact or tampering risk, a high IK rating and a heavy-duty or metal case. Material follows the environment too — ABS for general indoor use, polycarbonate for UV and outdoor exposure, and steel or aluminium where strength or screening matters. Then size it around the components with room for wiring and airflow, and pick the mounting: wall, DIN rail, panel or rack.

What about EMC shielding or heat?

For EMC-sensitive electronics, a metal or shielded enclosure contains emissions and keeps interference out. Where the contents run hot, a heat-sink enclosure — an extruded aluminium case that doubles as a heatsink — carries heat away without a separate part. For encapsulating a circuit, potting boxes are made for the job, and PSU and transformer cases suit power assemblies that need ventilation and clearance.

Can you modify an enclosure to my design?

Yes — this is a standout of the range. Standard enclosures can be supplied modified to your specification: cut-outs for connectors, switches and displays, drilling and machining, engraving or printed labels and logos, and custom paint colours, worked from your CAD file or template across brands and materials. What else goes with an enclosure?

For prototypes and single-board projects, development board enclosures fit common boards straight off. Mounting plates, glands, feet and seals finish an installation, thermal management fans and accessories handle active cooling, and the connectors and glands that pass through the wall are stocked alongside. Junction boxes, instrument, handheld and rack cases round out the range for wiring, benchtop and 19-inch equipment.
