These little LEDs give off a surprising amount of light with a current of only 20mA. I am using them to light the interiors of N-gauge model railway buildings and fed from the 12V supply. These buildings are made from card, so the small amount of heat given off is important. On model stations and some other buildings, the LED is exposed and it looks like a globe light. For larger buildings, they can easily be wired in arrays with the appropriate resistor. Excellent value for money.
