A Darlington transistor is a pair of transistors connected together so that the current amplified by the first transistor is amplified further by the second transistor, with the overall current gain equal to the two individual gains multiplied together. Darlington transistors are available from Rapid in both NPN and PNP configurations and SOT-23 and SOT-223 packages.
