Q. Dear Rapid Is this a latching relay?

A. Hi Graham, thank you for your question. This relay is non latching. However, you could use 54-5967. It has a dual coil.

Q. Will this relay work if i am try to drive a 12v motor or model train track from a PICAXE micro controller? Thanks

A. Hi Joshua, thank you for your question. This would not work directly. The PICAXE runs from 5V and the relay requires 12V. You would need a transistor, you could use this which has the transistor on board.
