LM317 can give closer tolerance
Reviewed by: Mr Harry Butterworth - Tuesday, July 26, 20167805 is accurate enough for most purposes. The LM317 offers tighter tolerances but you need to justify two extra resistors, a set pot and the need to set the set pot.
