Raspberry Pi Official 7" Touch Screen LCD

One of the most eagerly awaited accessories for the Raspberry Pi has finally arrived. The Raspberry Pi Official 7in LCD Touch Screen gives you the ability to create all-in-one, integrated projects like tablets, infotainment systems, IoT devices, etc.

The display has a 800 x 480 pixel resolution and connects via an adaptor board that handles power and signal interfaces. Everything required for setting up the unit are supplied, just secure the adaptor board and Raspberry Pi to the back of the LCD, connect the signal ribbon cable, connect the power and you're ready to start. There is a choice of ways to power the display - using GPIO jumpers to access power from the attached Pi, using an external power supply such as the official Raspberry Pi power supply (75-0532), or a separate micro USB 500mA supply.

The latest Raspbian OS for the Raspberry Pi contains all the latest touch screen drivers necessary, enabling support for 10-finger touch and on-screen keyboard - full functionality without keyboard or mouse. A range of educational software and programs available on the Raspberry Pi will be touch enabled, making learning and programming easier.
